Posted by Epicurean, July 2016

From now through Sept. 3, 2016, Floridians hungry to travel the Sunshine State can visit the food-focused Epicurean Hotel at a savings of 25 percent. With rates starting as low as $139, residents have the opportunity to experience the culinary-themed, boutique hotel, located in the trendy Hyde Park historic district of South Tampa.

The Epicurean Hotel, opened in Dec. 2013, was developed in collaboration with Mainsail Lodging & Development and the legendary Bern’s Steak House and is the first newly constructed hotel property in the United States to join the prestigious Autograph Collection® of Marriott International, Inc.

This summer, guests can enjoy the signature SPLASH pool parties, held every Sunday until Sept. 4. Complimentary for guests, SPLASH includes poolside DJ’s, craft cocktails, whimsical pool floats and fun. In addition, Dive-In movies for adults are being offered select Saturday’s and “Yoga with a Twist” on the last Sunday of the month. A rotating calendar of culinary events and cooking classes are being served up all summer long in the Epicurean Theatre – a state-of- the-art culinary classroom showcasing a Viking kitchen. Guests can take part in a variety of culinary classes such as “The VooDoo Krewe,” and take part in the Epic Chef Showdown viewing parties, a cooking competition between local chefs to benefit Feeding Tampa Bay.

Additional Epicurean experiences include Élevage, a restaurant where classic recipes are re-imagined; EDGE rooftop bar; Chocolate Pi patisserie and Bern’s Fine Wines & Spirits wine shop; bicycles to explore Hyde Park and Bayshore Boulevard and Evangeline full-service spa. The 2,800-square- foot spa features five treatment rooms, including two couple’s treatment rooms, a relaxation room and manicure and pedicure stations. The hotel is located directly across the street from Bern’s Steak House, a Tampa dining icon since 1956.
