TAMPA, Fla. (March 20, 2017) – EDGE Social Drinkery at the Epicurean Hotel has announced a variety of upgrades to the popular rooftop lounge in Tampa’s Hyde Park district. Upgrades include the addition of a 60-inch television, colored lighting, new artwork and refreshed seating areas. Food and beverage options are being expanded as well, with new wine, beer and cocktail lists, and updated menus.
“As the only rooftop lounge in the area, EDGE is still a fairly new venue, but we want to keep the concept exciting and fresh,” stated Tom Haines, general manager of the Epicurean Hotel. “We want our guests to enjoy a new experience every time they visit us.”
Comfortable seating areas throughout EDGE now sport updated cushions in classic stripes of gray, blue, orange and cream, complemented by burnt orange throw pillows. Dramatic new lighting adds even more color, illuminating the bar area in shifting shades of light. Specially commissioned by Bern’s Steak House and the Epicurean Hotel, the artist Dalek will supply new artwork for EDGE. From North Carolina, his works have been featured around the US. His artistic creation is scheduled to be unveiled April 23 to commemorate the 20thAnniversary of Bern’s Wine Fest.
Wine and beer offerings at EDGE are being nearly doubled and will include local craft options. In addition to classics such as the Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule and others, all served with an EDGE twist, the expansive cocktail menu will showcase some edgier new craft cocktails. Guests can try the Slurring Soccer Mom, with Stoli Elit, St. Germain, fresh lemon juice and fresh berry reduction, or the Surrender the Booty, a wink to Tampa’s Gasparilla celebrations that includes Stoli Elit and apple liquor. Feeding all the fun is a new menu of innovative, made-to-order small plates, such as short rib quesadillas and duck lettuce wraps. Desserts will be offered for the first-time and are accompanied by a list of ports, sherry and madeira.
