Niark1 Comes to Epicurean

One of the most unique things about Epicurean’s lobby lounge is the contemporary rotating art gallery adorning its nooks and crannies. As we say goodbye to “Branded: New Works by Chris Valle,” we welcome famous French painter, Niark1.  Join us on August 25th at 7:00pm for the Niark1 Art Opening Reception made possible by CASS Contemporary Art Space and Studio.

Abstract artSebastien Feraut or Niark1 is a painter, graphic designer, illustrator and artist extraordinaire. Born and raised in Paris, Niark1 works and lives in Paris to this day with his son, who seems to be taking after his father (see for yourself here). Niark1 uses geometric shapes to create complex alternate universes with monsters and creatures filled with color and life. His work can be seen across all mediums. From French newspapers to limited edition Bugaboo Strollers and collaborations with giants like Converse and music legend Pharrell Williams. Niark1 has had quite the impressive career in his 42 years on earth. He got his start as a graphic designer, moved on to freelance and is now known for his out of this world monsters. Sebastien has explained that he likes to “draw and paint weird things.” Whatever they are, we’re a fan!

Spend a Friday night admiring Niark1’s trippy works of art with the artist himself while mingling with art lovers. All of Niark1’s one of a kind paintings are for sale. Enjoy libations by Chateau Ste. Michelle and Coppertail Brewing Co. accompanied by hors d’ oeuvres. Tickets are $25 and will applyA unique drawing  to any purchase made during the event.
