About Darren:
Darren Bloom, a St. Pete native and Chef of 17 years has ventured into the realm of urban agriculture with the founding of St. Pete Mushroom Company. Alongside his wife and sons, this family operated urban farm specializing in true farm-to-table cultivation of nutrient-rich gourmet mushrooms, aiming to supply local chefs with premium, sustainably grown produce.

Darren’s background allows him to understand the nuances of flavors and texture that chefs seek in their ingredients. This insight is invaluable in growing mushrooms that aim to exceed expectations of discerning palates. By working directly with local chefs, The St. Pete Mushroom Company is able to provide bespoke mushroom varieties that inspire new dishes and enhance traditional recipes, fostering a closer connection between growers and chefs in the Tampa Bay area.
