Event Information

Join us for a Scotch filled evening as we taste exceptional, single malt scotches from around the world, with Distell US Brand Ambassador, Andrew Raeburn. Andrew will walk you through the history of the scotch whiskey industry, such as its origins, development, and what gives these new limited editions there particular character.

~ What you will be tasting ~

Tobermory 12 year old Fino finish and Tobermory 21 year old Manzanilla finish

To start with we shall talk about the origins of Scotch. Tobermory is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland so it’s a good place to start with. Also we shall look at how ageing and wood type affect flavour by comparing these two scotches.

Deanston 12 and Deanston 2008 Brandy finish (9 year old)

With these tastings from Deanston Distillery we shall explore the development of Scotch from a small farming practice to a large industrial enterprise in the 18th and 19th century.

Bunnahabhain 2008 Moine Bordeaux and Bunnahabhain 1997 Palo Cortado finish (21 year old)

Peated expressions have a big place in the Scotch industry. With these expressions from Bunnahabhain we shall explore the peated Islay style and its relationship with whiskies from other parts of Scotland.

Ledaig 1998 Pedro Xemenez finish (19 year old) and Ledaig 1996 (19 year old)

Finally with these Smoky Ledaig’s we will discuss the current state of the Scotch industry and its distinction from other whisky’s found around the world today.

Accompanied by cheese & charcuterie
