Tesla Owners Welcome to Plug-in

Tesla parkingEveryone has different reasons why they pick hotels, some travelers pick hotels based on award-winning cuisine and chefs, some pick them by online reviews and others, believe it or not, look for Tesla charging stations. Tesla is working feverishly on expanding their charging network by strategically locating stations across the landscape. This is top-of-mind when Tesla owners are planning their road trips, as moreoptions are available than ever before. Planning a trip must be well executed and carefully mapped out by Tesla drivers, as electricity is their car’s cleaner answer to fossil fuel. Fear not, Tesla owners! Epicurean Hotelis equipped to give you the charge you need, as well as peace of mind, before continuing to your next destination.

The Epicurean Hotel is excited to announce that it will make it’s debut as the first hotel in the Tampa Bay region to team up with Tesla Motors and offer Tesla Destination Charging stations for it’s guests. The Tesla High Power Wall Connectors add 58 miles of range per hour to Model S, charging the vehicle overnight and replicating the convenience Tesla owners are accustomed to at home or at charging at other locations around the world such as hotels, ski resorts and restaurants. Model S offers 265 miles of range on a single charge, so the High Power Wall Connector can easily top off the Tesla in just a few short hours.

I have been doing quite a bit of research on Tesla Motors, Inc. and I must say ladies and gentlemen, this is pretty groovy stuff, and this is the future like it or not. Tesla Motors, Inc is an American (GO USA!) company that designs, manufactures, and sells electric cars and electric vehicle powertrain components. They first started to gain attention after producing the super sexy Tesla Roadster, the first fully electric sports car. After that came the Model S, a fully electric luxury sedan and its next two vehicles the Models X and the 3. Now hold your horses, from the research I have gathered, they haven’t started production on the Model 3 yet, but that is supposed to be the most affordable electric car, at a cost of around $35,000 and slated to start production in 2017.

If there is one thing we can all agree on, the Epicurean is one-of-a-kind hotel and is known as “the coolest kidon the block” and the trendsetter in their ever so stylish SoHo neighborhood. Just ask Tom Haines, general manager of the Epicurean Hotel, “The Epicurean is constantly finding new ways to heighten our guest experience. By combining leading-edge technology and the forward-thinking of Tesla with our commitment to ‘Awaken Appetites Unknown,’ we now have the ability to offer guests a seamless and convenient charging experience while they celebrate all the flavors of life.”

In addition to the Tesla charging station, the Epicurean Hotel will also be listed on the Tesla’s interactive webpage and will soon be GPS located on Model S navigation through a free software update sent wireless to the car. In coming months, Tesla owners will be able to use the Model S 17- inch touch screen to easily plan trips and locate the property.

Lastly, there is no fee for our guests using the Tesla charging stations, however our standard valet rates will still apply.

We hope you will join us soon to Awaken Appetites Unknown!
