Gasparilla Pirate Fest
Named for the legendary pirate, Jose Gaspar, Gasparilla is an over 100-year-old tradition where Ye Mystic Krewe sails into Tampa Bay with much pageantry to invade and capture the city. A band of pirates then takes over the city and celebrations fill the streets of downtown.
The University of Tampa & the H.B. Plant Museum
A National Historic Landmark in the Moorish style, the H.B. Plant Museum showcases original furnishings and recreates the lifestyle of Henry B. Plant’s 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel and the early Florida tourist industry.

The Tampa Yacht & Country Club was founded in 1904 by the leading business and professional men of the city of Tampa. Its complex located on the shore of Hillsborough Bay consists of special event space, tennis courts, riding ring and stables, and a 31-slip marina.
