Whitney Miller Returns for a Mississippi Blues Class

Posted On April 19th, 2016
headshotWhitney Miller is no stranger to the Epicurean Theatre or the spotlight. This southern belle visited the Epicurean Theatre last year and produced an amazing cooking class and a fun book signing! Good news, she’s back by popular demand to showcase some of her favorite blueberry recipes in partnership with the Epicurean Hotel and Wish Farms.

For those of you that don’t know, Whitney has southern roots as well as international culinary experience. All of her home-cooked recipes are exciting, accessible and “company-worthy.” Her 97 year-old great-grandmother and her mother inspired her to begin cooking at an early age. At twenty two, Whitney won the show “Masterchef,” gaining the title of Fox’s first U.S. Masterchef. Soon afterward, Whitney obtained her degree, with an emphasis in nutrition, from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Talking Berries with Head Pixie, Gary Wishnatzki

Posted On April 15th, 2016

What’s it like sitting down with third-generation family-owner of Wish Farms, Gary Wishnatzki? Berry, berry fun!

He’s not like most CEOs; in fact Gary Wishnatzki nixed his title as CEO to become Head Pixie when he transformed his three-generation family-owned business Wishnatzki Farms into the consumer brand, Wish Farms in 2010. With that, Misty, the Garden Pixie mascot was born and his business would now be more memorable to the people consuming his produce. Gary continues to take great pride in continuing his family’s legacy, while upholding the company’s core values of quality, integrity and responsiveness. (more…)
